DELTA – Advancing Data Literacy and Innovation in the Western Balkans.
Duration: 3 years.
Description: The DELTA project aims to foster knowledge exchange and innovation in multidisciplinary teaching across the Western Balkans. It focuses on equipping individuals with essential data literacy skills, crucial for integration into the EU economy and labor market. Given the digital transformation and challenges faced by Western Balkan countries (WBC) in the fourth industrial revolution, the project seeks to build a qualified workforce capable of using data for decision-making and knowledge building.
Objectives:
• Equip students from various faculties at Western Balkan universities with proficient data literacy skills, enhancing adaptability and competitiveness.
• Bridge the gap in data literacy between the Western Balkans and the EU, aligning the region with EU standards.
• Conduct research to identify effective data literacy practices in European higher education institutions.
• Develop an innovative learning ecosystem by creating 3 data literacy courses with standardized learning outcomes and accessible MOOCs.
Expected Results:
• Research report on innovative data literacy practices in European institutions.
• Update of 3 data literacy courses.
• Training and equipping educators with resources for curriculum integration.
• Pilot a competence-oriented learning ecosystem.
